“Engineers in the Classroom” Lockheed Martin

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is passionate about STEM outreach and the Engineers in the Classroom program. This kindergarten through grade 12 education initiative is designed to identify, develop, inspire and channel students into careers that draw their foundation from science, technology, engineering and math courses. The touchstone of this school-based initiative is a one-on-one connection between Lockheed Martin engineers and students, teachers and guidance counselors.

Headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that employs approximately 126,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services.

Our school had the pleasure of having employees from Lockheed Martin come and present to our students to inspire them to pursue STEM related careers.  UTEP and Lockheed Martin made it possible for a wonderful day helping our students make better decisions before deciding what degree they will pursue in college.  Here are some photos of 4-12-16 in the EDHS small gym when engineers from Lockheed Martin volunteer to make “Engineering in the Classroom” a reality.  THANK YOU!!!!
