UIL Robotics FIRST

Finally on July 27, 2016 we will have the inaugural UIL Robotics State Championship-FIRST Division. After three years of working to make #UILRobotics a reality, we are thrilled with the prospect of seeing the very best robotics teams from across the state in action. The two FIRST® programs competing for the chance to become UIL Robotics State Champions are FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC.) Teams will play the two games from the 2015-2016 season. FTCAt the high school level teams will compete in the medieval style FIRST STRONGHOLD℠ (FRC). While teams comprised of middle and/or high school students face the mountain rescue challenge of FIRST Res-Q℠ (FTC).

History will be made when state champions are crowned in this inaugural “sport of the mind.” Spectators will watch robotics teams compete to obtain the highest level of recognition for STEM educational programs in the entire state of Texas.
